Shipping policy

Shipping Policy for 40LEON

Effective Date: 30/05/25

At 40LEON, we aim to deliver your order quickly, safely, and affordably. All orders are shipped using DHL, our trusted logistics partner. As a registered business customer with DHL Freight, we offer reliable delivery both within Sweden and internationally.


1. Processing Time

All orders are processed and dispatched within 5 business days. Please note that we do not ship on weekends or public holidays.

Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email.


2. Shipping Destinations

We currently ship to the following regions:

  • Sweden (Domestic)

  • European Union countries

  • Norway and Åland (with customs clearance)

  • United States, Canada, and Mexico

For all destinations, delivery times may vary depending on location and customs processing.


3. Shipping Methods

Depending on destination and size, we use one of the following DHL services:

  • DHL Service Point – for smaller domestic parcels, pickup at service points

  • DHL Parcel Connect / Parcel Connect Plus – for EU & Norway deliveries


4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, dimensions, and destination. Additional surcharges may apply:

  • Delivery to remote areas

  • Oversized or non-standard packages

  • Return-to-sender or failed delivery attempts

We currently do not offer free shipping, unless stated in a specific promotion.


5. Customs & Duties

For orders outside the EU (e.g. USA, Canada, Mexico, Norway, Åland):

  • Customs clearance fees are handled via DHL and charged to the customer.

  • Orders are shipped DAP (Delivered At Place), meaning you are responsible for paying import duties, VAT, and any handling fees.

If customs documents (e.g. commercial invoice) are missing or incorrect, this may delay delivery and incur additional charges.


6. Missed Deliveries / Returns

If a shipment is not picked up or accepted and is returned to us, we will deduct return shipping costs and any additional DHL fees (such as handling or storage) from the refund. Please note that original shipping costs are non-refundable.


7. Shipping Restrictions

We do not ship:

  • To P.O. boxes

  • Dangerous or prohibited goods (e.g. flammable liquids, explosives)

  • To countries not supported by DHL's network


8. Insurance & Liability

All shipments are covered by DHL’s standard cargo liability based on NSAB 2015. For high-value items, customers are encouraged to contact us for extra insurance.


9. Delivery Issues / Claims

  • Visible damages must be reported at the time of delivery.

  • Hidden damages must be reported within 7 days of receipt.

  • To report a damaged, lost, or delayed package, email william@40leon.com with your order number, photos (if applicable), and a description of the issue.
